It was a bit sad leaving the office in New York today. For dinner, we went to the NoMad. Everything was very good. I really liked the “Island Time” cocktail there.

Moving Day
I have been packing and throwing away things all week. On Monday, the movers came to pack final items and picked them up for the long journey. I got 2 boxes shipped by air and 35 boxes shipped by sea. I’m going to miss this apartment.
Last Day Walking to Work from My Apartment in New York
Today is my last day walking to work through Times Square from my apartment in Hell’s Kitchen. It was a nice morning but not so warm (58F). A bit sad thinking about it but I’m sure I will be back. Next week I will be staying in a hotel close to work.
Applying for a Working Visa Today
Today, I went to the Japanese Consulate in midtown to submit an application for a working permit to work in Japan. I hope to get the visa on Thursday.
